The Holy Passover

The Passover like all of the other Feast Days, laws, statues, and judgments, were given only to the nation of Yisrael. Lev. 20:20-26, Deut. 7:6-11, also Amos 3:1-2. Therefore, we of the House of Yisrael and our land, the land of Yisrael are the two components that are necessary in order for us to celebrate the Passover.
Stranger
The only stranger, that could keep the Passover, were strangers that were born in our house or bought with our money, could keep the Passover. And only if they were to get cicumcised. Gen. 17:12-13, Ex. 12:43-44. But, if the stranger, that is a foreigner or a hired servant, they could not keep the Passover.
The reason they could not keep the Passover, was because they were not our private property or a permanent resident in our homes. They were not born in our homes or bought with our money. As a result of not being our personal property they could not keep the feast Days. Ex. 12:43-45, -49. Neither were they under our laws. Deu. 14:21. The only strangers that could keep our laws or Feast Days were called sojourners.
Sojourner
A sojourner is one that is in the land of another. Gen. 21:34- Gen. 47:4, Ruth 1:1 When a non Yisraelite or a stranger sojourn in the land of Yisrael, he was in a Holy place, therefore he had to obey the laws of Yahweh in the Promise Land, or the land would spue us out as it did to former nations that were in it’s midst. Lev. 18:26-28, also Lev. 20:22-23.
The stranger that sojourned with us was obligated to keep the same laws as us, the House of Yisrael. And we were commanded to love him as ourselves. Lev. 19:33-34. Nonetheless, there were sill positions of honor that a sojourner could never have.
No stranger could be our Priest. Ex. 28:1, Eze. 44:9-10. No stranger could be our King. Deu. 17:15 No stranger, could be our Prophet. Deut. 18:15-18. And no strangers that sojourn with us could leave our congregation and attempt to have a Holy convocation, without being a part of us. Amos 3:12.
Sacred Place
The Almighty promise his people that once he brought them to the promised land, that there would be a sacred place there. And to it were we to bring our burnt offerings, and our sacrifices, and our tithes, and leave offerings of our hand and our vows, and our free will offering, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks. Please read the whole chapter of Deu. 12, especially the 5th, 11th, 14th, 18th, and 21st verse.
It was also at this sacred place that we the children of Yisrael were commanded by our Creator to keep the Passover. Deu. 16:16 also read Ex. 12:21-25, 28. Ex. 13:3-5, 10 Ex. 23:14-17, Deu. 16:1-6, 11-16.
There are two ways which we study the Holy Scriptures, the first is from Yahweh’s commandments, the second is from the examples that our fathers left for us to follow as long as their example does not contradict the commandments of Yahweh our Elohem. All of our Kings kept the Passover only at Jerusalem. II Chron. 35:1-18, II Kings 23:21-23.
Can the Passover be kept in Jerusalem today?
Once we come to the realization that we can only keep the passover, the Feast of weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. Then we must ask ourselves, can we go to Jerusalem and keep these Feasts today? And the answer is no. First of all there is no alter. Ex. 20:24-26, Deu. 27:4-10, also Jos. 22:7-34. There is no Temple or Tabernacle. Ex. 40:29-38, I Kings 8:44-47, 49-50. There is no priest. Today many of our brothers call themselves priest and they very well could be a son of Levi, but can one prove it? Are there any record of these genealogy. Neh. 7:63-64. So therefore you cannot make anyone a priest because a priest has to be sanctified. II Chron. 30:3 and to be sanctified they had to have the Holy anointing oil poured upon them. Ex. 30:30-31. And if one that was not a Levite attempted to make any oil like it or whosever putteth any of it upon a stranger shall be cut off from his people. Ex. 30:22-33.
Today all of our records of genealogy have been destroyed. We are in a polluted land, there is no one that can make the oil for the priest or determine who a Levite is.
But all is not lost, for Yahweh is rising up his people this very hour, and is putting his fear within them. Those that regard his words as pure, the Almighty will send them his true servant, the Messenger of the Covenant; and he shall purify all of the son’s of Levi, that they may offer unto Yahweh an offering inrighteousness. Mal3 3:1-3.
Every word of Elohem is pure. He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his word, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Prov. 30:5-6.
The Passover, how it was to be kept.
Ex. 12:1-2, New year. Ex. 12:3-6, tenth day take out a lamb of the first year without blemish and keep it separated until the 14th day of the month of Abid and kill it in the evening.
Ex. 12:7. The blood must be striked or put on our door post of our houses, Ex. 12:21-25, also Num. 9:1-13-12, Ex.12:8-11,the lamb is to be eaten whole and leave nothing of it until the morning. Ex. 12:14. We must keep it for a memorial, and feast throughout our generation forever, but, not in all our dwellings. Lev. 23:1-3 also Lev. 23:15-21, 26-31. But, we can only keep it where Yah has cause his name to be at. Ex. 12:25, Ex. 13:4-10, Deu. 16:2-7, 16, Deu. 12:1-6,11,16.
Moreover, if we are away from Jerusalem or in a journey afar off visiting, we can keep the Passover in the second month, not the first month. Num. 9:1-2, II Chron. 30:1-3. Also, if you are unclean, you must come to Jerusalem to keep the Passover the second month.
All of our Kings and great rulers only kept the Passover in Jerusalem. II Kings 23:21-22, II Chron. 35:1-18, II Chron. 30:1-3,5, Ezra 6:18-22.
